BIOGRAPHY

Italian driver Leonardo Fornaroli made the step up to FIA Formula 3 for 2023 and finished a promising rookie campaign in 11th position. The Italian claimed two podiums and a pole position along the way. He has re-signed with Trident for 2024.

In 2022, he was the highest-placed rookie in Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, amassing 83 points on the way to finishing eighth overall in the standings. He also has two years of Italian F4 under his belt, finishing the 2020 and 2021 seasons ninth and fifth respectively. Fornaroli took part in the post-season F3 test at Jerez in 2022 and was confirmed by Trident shortly afterwards for the 2023 FIA F3 season. He secured two podium finishes in 2023 and returns this year with the Italian team for a second campaign.
